Hello everyone. I’m Dan, editor of News in the Channel and Print in the Channel , the magazines that provide news, insight and advice to thousands of readers in the reseller and print reseller channels in every issue.
Congratulations to all those that have been nominated in the Stockies – and especially to those that have won. To have an awards show based on data rather than subjective opinion marks these out from the crowd and gives a true reflection on which companies and products are performing the best in this dynamic sector. As the breadth of these awards shows, the channel continues to thrive, with many businesses within it taking advantage of the wealth of new opportunities that have emerged in the market in the past couple of years, such as with offering AI-based technology and services.
As the development of AI shows, the way we work continues to evolve and so does the role of resellers, distributors and manufacturers as they must embrace change to suit the demands of customers. As always, maintaining close relationships with customers and acting as trusted advisors are crucial to success. As we head towards a time that could see the biggest changes in work in 30 years thanks to AI, it is an exciting time for the sector and those in it. Knowing the adaptability and resilience of those in the sector, I am confident these changes will be embraced. I hope you enjoy the show and have a safe journey home afterwards.

A hearty hello and welcome to Stockies 2025. I’m Trish, interim editor of UC Advanced , the magazine that takes a fresh look at the Unified Communications industry from the perspective of MSPs, Distributors and Resellers.
Congratulations to those winners that have been cited this week and those that are to be announced tonight. It is only fair that I start with those vendors, distributors, resellers, products and people who were nominated earlier this year. It is such an achievement just to be nominated, because the results are data-driven, there are no entry fees or judges, and so well done to everyone who was nominated, and to those who subsequently made the shortlists – an incredible achievement. A big congratulations to the winners from the Technology & Storage Show, the Printing, Peripherals & Accessories Show, and the winners from the AV &UCC Show. I hope your Stockies trophies take pride of place
in showcases and display cabinets, because they are well deserved. The Audio Visual and Unified Communications and Collaborative sector can be summed up in three words for 2025: “Intuitive, Intelligent, Innovation”. There is not a week that has gone by without a device, platform or user interface announcing it has included AI, it has improved compatibility with other devices, its speed or storage capacity has increased, and it is an overall faster, more efficient and cost- effective version of its predecessors. Innovation drives growth in the AV and UC&C sectors, and we love being on the journey. Enjoy the Speciality awards showcase and I hope you have a fabulous Stockies night!
