ESET appoints UK country manager
ESET has appointed Matt Knell as managing director UK. The appointment will see Matt build on ESET’s existing success in the UK, galvanise its Partner Programme and build its bespoke enterprise offering. Matt has almost 25 years of experience in cybersecurity. Having spent 16 years with McAfee and over eight years at Sophos as an enterprise sales director and senior sales leader for strategic growth and channel, he has experience across all facets of cybersecurity from channel to SMB and enterprise. At ESET, Matt will head up the team in Bournemouth, focusing on growth for the UK arm of the business. A personal focus will be ensuring UK customers and partners fully understand ESET’s suite of products and services, and in turn, to demonstrate that ESET has a deep understanding of their business requirements. Matt will bring his experience working with channel partners to ensure that ESET becomes the vendor of choice in the UK by demonstrating the level
of service they get with the ESET Partner Programme. He will also be responsible for building relationships and coordinating opportunities for ESET’s Corporate Solutions, helping to expand the premium, bespoke service for enterprises and large SMBs. Pavol Holéczy, President of EMEA at ESET, said: “We wanted to bring in an experienced professional with good knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape to be the face and leader for the UK team, and someone who can build on our solid foundations and explore new opportunities, such as building our bespoke enterprise offering.
