Winners all The second edition of the Stockies built on the success of the first from last year with even more awards handed out to businesses across the channel that have excelled over the course of the past 12 months.
It’s been a successful year for the channel, and this was celebrated at the second annual Stock in the Channel Awards – better known as the ‘Stockies’. The Stockies are different to other awards ceremonies: there was no judging panel or lengthy application process, which can be subjective, it was all based on empirical data from Stock in the Channel and every vendor and distributor on the platform was automatically entered, so there was no denying that all the winners deserved their prize. The nominees should also take credit too for their outstanding performance over the year. There were three virtual awards shows from Monday 25th - Wednesday 27th November, which gave out 45 awards spanning the breadth of the channel. The remaining 12 awards were given out live on the night at the Winners After-Party. Pictures from the party can been seen on the following pages. How it works As mentioned, the Stockies differ to other awards ceremonies as it was based on data mined and analysed by Stock in the Channel’s own expert data analysts. Various metrics were used to determine the winners of each category. For instance, market
share and stock resilience were part of the consideration, as was ‘trending’ – the popularity of products in customer searches. For product categories, relative market advantage was considered, as was metrics like product heat and trending in searches. With vendors, price stability and niche to mass coverage was also considered. For distributors, the sale to search rate was considered, as was product replenishment rate, among others. Some winners took to social media to celebrate their victories. On X (formerly Twitter) TP-LINK (@TPLINKUK) said: “We have been awarded ‘Network Vendor of the Year’ at this year’s ‘Stockies’ Stock in the Channel Awards 2024. “Congratulations to the team on this fantastic achievement which is testament to their hard work and dedication.”
