range can come with built-in features, including Connect and Protect, our cloud- based service that gives small businesses protection from cyber threats without complex or infrastructure changes.” Jordan adds that reliability is the non- negotiable, especially in the UK where weather resilience is a real consideration, but ease of deployment runs a very close second. “IT teams are lean, and the ability to deploy and manage access points remotely through a cloud platform like NETGEAR Insight removes the need for on-site expertise at every location,” he adds. “Security is increasingly on the list too. Customers want WPA3, VLAN segmentation and the ability to keep guest traffic separated from operational networks.” Martin agrees that reliability remains the top priority. “Stadium operators need networks that perform consistently during major events, even when tens of thousands of fans are connected simultaneously,” he says. “They're also looking for solutions that support a better spectator experience while providing operational insights through analytics and data. The most successful deployments combine reliability, performance, security and visibility, helping venues improve fan engagement and day-to-day operations.”
Customer demands But while demand is growing, customers are exacting in what they want from an outdoor Wi-Fi solution. “As the expectation to stay connected wherever we are keeps rising, the requirement for outdoor WiFi grows with it,” says Hugh. “It is no longer only people who need connectivity outdoors; increasingly it is devices. IoT is spreading into the exposed parts of a site that used to sit beyond the network, from temperature sensors in cold stores to asset tracking across yards and connected cameras around perimeters. That puts more always-on connections in exactly the locations outdoor WiFi is built to cover, and an access point such as the WBE665S has the capacity and the environmental rating to serve them. “Customers want good performance and reliable coverage, and they want solutions that are simple, effective, secure and affordable, which is exactly what Zyxel Networks provides. What can make a real difference is ease of deployment. Using our Nebula secure cloud management platform, resellers and MSPs can pre-configure the unit; all the customer needs to do is turn it on and it auto-configures. Our partners can also offer remote management, so any issues can be addressed wherever the site is located. “Security matters too, and our WBE

Reseller conversations When talking to customers about
outdoor Wi-Fi solutions, there are certain approaches resellers should take. “Start with the total coverage conversation, not just the indoor one,” says Jordan. “A lot of customers have blind spots they've normalised. Resellers should also raise management overhead. How many access points does your customer have and how are they monitoring them? Cloud management tools that give a single view across indoor and outdoor infrastructure are a strong differentiator. And don't overlook the network beneath it: outdoor
