Cisco appoints new channel lead for EMEA

José Van Dijk has been appointed to lead Cisco’s EMEA Partner Sales & Routes to Market organisation. After moving back to the Netherlands with her family from the US, José is now based in Amsterdam. With 90% of Cisco’s bookings made through partners, the new channel leader will play an important role in the EMEA Leadership Team and for Cisco’s EMEA strategy. Prior to this, José was influential in building and leading the Global Operations and Partner Performance team for the past four and a half years. In her 25 years at Cisco, she has driven many transformational phases in development, marketing, services, customer experience and, most recently, global partner sales and routes to market. “In José we have the ideal person to take

the EMEA Partner organisation forward,” said Oliver Tuszik, president Cisco Europe, Middle East and Africa. “She is a change maker, who will bring further simplification and process improvements to the partner organisation. José has fantastic relationships with partners across the region and will help improving their business profitably. Especially in cybersecurity, collaboration and managed services we see tremendous opportunities for our partners.” José added that her priority with be spending time with EMEA partners to learn about their priorities and how they can drive growth together. “I’m looking forward to renewing existing partner relationships, building new ones and learning more about the great work we are doing with our customers,” she said.

Panasas announces key leadership appointments

Panasas has appointed four new senior executives to further strengthen its global leadership team. These additions follow the recent appointment of Ken Claffey as CEO and will fuel Panasas’ continued product innovation and go-to-market expansion. The senior executives bring nearly a century of combined industry experience that will help Panasas deliver tangible value to organisations requiring always-on, easy-to-use storage solutions that support diverse HPC and AI workloads. Hanish Vaghela has been appointed as executive vice president of sales. Hanish has nearly three decades of experience in OEM, cloud and channel storage solution sales. His roots in HPC stem from his tenure at Xyratex, where he built the Clusterstor HPC storage go-to-market organisation from the ground up. Hanish’s most recent position was at Seagate Technology, where he oversaw global sales, sales engineering and sales operations for the company's systems and solutions business. Samantha Clarke is vice president of channel and alliances. Samantha has more than 20 years of storage infrastructure and partner-enablement experience. She joins Panasas from Seagate, where she held sales, partner engagement and business development leadership roles across device systems, cloud and SaaS. Mike Park is now vice president of operations.

Mike’s track record of driving business acceleration and increasing operational efficiencies spans nearly three decades in the industry. Prior to joining Panasas, Mike held leadership roles with Data Domain, EMC, Tintri and Datrium where he honed his operational excellence, supply chain management and process automation expertise. Finally, Peter Maddocks has been named as vice president of engineering. Peter has more than 20 years of experience in software development, including a background in storage and SaaS technologies coupled with a passion for innovation. He joins Panasas from Seagate, where he was senior director of engineering in storage systems. He also previously spent more than a decade at Hewlett-Packard where he led the enterprise NAS and SAN software design and development teams. “Panasas is at an inflection point as the advent of AI is driving the increasing demand for truly scalable, high-performance storage solutions, and I’m excited to work with these exceptionally talented individuals to achieve our next phase of growth,” said Ken. "I am confident that this new leadership team has the knowledge, skills, proven experience and passion to drive our vision forward and make Panasas the preferred choice for organisations looking at HPC and AI solutions for their data storage environments."
